We've all been there: a closet full of clothes and nothing to wear. Americans return 25–30% of online apparel purchases — not because they don't care about style, but because they're making decisions without the right support. Existing tools inspire, but none of them know what you already own. ClosetIQ was built to close that gap

 

My Role

ClosetIQ was developed as part of a 6-person Innovation Strategy team at Vanderbilt's Owen Graduate School of Management. I led:

• Market sizing and TAM / SAM / SOM analysis

• Go-to-market sequencing across 3 phases

• Staged monetization model (affiliate → SaaS → membership)

• Competitive positioning and the overall product narrative

• Building live mock-up

• ClosetIQ is an AI-powered personal stylist and shopping assistant that learns your wardrobe and helps you get more out of it. Meet Taylor — an LLM-based stylist that recommends outfits from what you already own, validates new purchases against your existing closet, and shops across retailers so you don't have to.
